Individual inventors as well as small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to explore business opportunities through a special exhibition on innovative science and technology, which will be part of the 5th Beijing International Scientific and Technological Exposition (BISTE), opening on April 23.
BISTE, the former Beijing International High-Tech and New-tech Industries Week, usually features participation of large foreign and domestic enterprises, government delegations and sci-tech research institutes.
BISTE organizers say that 70 of the 4,000 individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, who have registered with the exhibition, will be chosen to stage their inventions at the expo.
Sources say that one third of the exhibited projects will come from individual inventors. Investors will also be invited to contact these business fledglings and discuss cooperation possibilities.
So far, over 100 multinational corporations, including HSBC, Time Warner and Ericsson, and domestic giants such as Legend, Haier and Changhong have registered to attend the International Exposition.
