Shandong Flaming Bulls could see it's hope of the finals evaporated as it losts pivot power forward Gong Xiaobin when facing defending champion Bayi Rockets at the second game of the Chinese Basketball Association semi-finals on Wednesday.

Gong, who is a permanent member of the national team for a decade and playing the key role in Shandong, injuried his right hand in the first meeting of the best-of-five series, when Shandong lost 105-102 at home court.
Starting shooting guard Liu Tie had been put on the injury list before Sunday's game, and he also missed Wednesday's game.
The next two matches will be played in Bayi's home court in Ningbo. The six-time champion could wrap up the series in a stroke.
In the other semi-finals, Shanghai Sharks, led by future NBA player Yao Ming, is to take on Jilin Northeast Tigers at home in Shanghai. Shanghai led the series at 1-0 after Sunday's commanding win, 114-99.
