A military helicopter Mi-8 crashed at about 9:20 a.m. local time on Monday at the Pochentong Military Airport, killing at least two people and injuring one person.

Officials of the airport told Xinhua on the scene that the military helicopter crashed and exploded when it just lifted off 30 meters above the ground from the airport. The accident might be caused by the fault of aircraft's engine, they said.

There were four military junior officers on the chopper, and at least two died and one injured. The accident is under investigation at present.

The helicopter was made by the former Soviet Union in 1984.
