DPRK Shows Interest in Reopening Talks With S.Korea: Megawati

Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri said Saturday that Kim Jong-Il, leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), had shown interests in reopening talks with South Korea.

Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri said Saturday that Kim Jong-Il, leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), had shown interests in reopening talks with South Korea.

At a press conference following her meeting with President Kim Dae-Jung, Megawati said before she visited DPRK she had received amessage from President Kim Dae-Jung and conveyed it to Kim Jong-Il.

"He showed a positive reaction to it. He also asked me to deliver his best regards to President Kim Dae-Jung," she said.

Megawati flew in here from Pyongyang Saturday morning.
