What secrets "Shenzhou III" , China's third unmanned spacecraft, has carried into space? According to Hong Kong-based Wen Wai Po, a large series of scientific experiments are being conducted during the automatic orbiting phrase.

"Shenzhou III" Launched

China launched another unmanned spacecraft, "Shenzhou III", 10:15PM March, 25, (Beijing Time) from Jiuquan Satellite Launching Center of Gansu Province, and ten minutes after blast-off, the spaceship entered its preset orbit. In Detail>>>

As known from concerned sources, the space experiments are focussing on three aspects at least: life science, space forecast and earth observation.

Life science experiments include a box of eggs of black-bone chicken from the Taihe County of Jiangxi Province, tightly packed two days after being laid. The eggs are of top quality breed free of industrial pollution. These eggs would "sleep" in the space and be hatched after flying back to the earth.

Black-bone chicken is a traditional breed of high economic value to China, an expert says. The experiment aims to study the influence of space environment on embryo growth, inheritance and breed selection.
