5th Session of 10th SPA of DPRK Held

The 5th session of the 10th Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was held at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Wednesday. General Secretary Kim Jong Il appeared on the platform.

The platform was taken by senior party and state officials including Kim Yong Nam, Jo Myong Rok and Hong Song Nam.

The session discussed the following agenda items:

1. On the review of 2001 work of the DPRK cabinet and on its task for 2002.

2. On summing-up of 2001 state budget and on 2002 state budget of the DPRK.

3. On adopting the DPRK law on land planning.

Premier of the cabinet Hong Song Nam made a report on the first agenda item and minister of finance Mun Il Bong a report on the second agenda item.

The session separately adopted the SPA resolution "On approving the report on the work of the DPRK cabinet and the summing-up of state budget" and the SPA ordinance "On the 2002 state budget of the DPRK".

It also adopted the SPA ordinance "On adopting the DPRK law on land planning".
