China will introduce more advanced educational resources from abroad through high-level international cooperation and exchanges.
Vice Premier Li Lanqing urged reform of China's academic degrees administration to continue in order to train more quality professionals.
He made the remarks at the 19th meeting of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council held from March 26 to 27 in Beijing.
He said that academic degrees should serve the demand for high-level professionals.
Li, also head of the Academic Degrees Committee, urged collegesand universities in developed areas to aid those in the less developed areas.
He said colleges, universities, and other institutes that confer academic degrees should forge a healthy academic climate and cultivate innovation-oriented talents who are qualified both academically and ethically.
