Li reiterated China's principled stance on the Taiwan question, pointing out that over the past 30 years, China and the U.S. have carried out mutually-beneficial cooperation in the fields of economics and trade, culture, education, anti-terrorism and other areas despite the ups and downs in their bilateral relations. Thechange in the international situation has once again shown that China and the U.S. do have differences, however, their common interests are even stronger and more important.
