Leaders of some other countries are seriously considering the forum's invitation, said Zhang Qiyue, spokeswoman of the Foreign Ministry at a regular press conference.
She said that the meeting will be held on April 12 and 13 in China's Hainan Province, and Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji will make the keynote speech at the forum.
She noted that as the host, China welcomes and supports any leaders of foreign countries who attend the forum meeting, and will make arrangements necessary for their attendance.
