Sandstorm Spreads to Taiwan

Sandstorm which has hit several northern cities of China recently has spread south to Taiwan, with a lesser degree of strength, according to reports reaching Hong Kong Monday from Taipei.

Sandstorm which has hit several northern cities of China recently has spread south to Taiwan, with a lesser degree of strength, according to reports reaching Hong Kong Monday from Taipei.

The sandstorm's influence will remain until around Tuesday morning, according to Taiwan's weather forecast institution.

Those who have allergy or respiratory problems were urged to refrain from going outdoors or to wear a mask if they must go outside.
