Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat met on Sunday night with U.S. Mideast peace envoy Anthony Zinni in the West Bank town of Ramallah and agreed to meet him again.

Senior Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told reporters after the two-hour meeting that it was agreed that Arafat will continue meetings with Zinni. But he did not give details on what had been discussed during their meeting.

Erekat said that after talks with the U.S. envoy, Arafat held a meeting with Palestinian officials.

A Palestinian official, who was at the meeting and spoke in condition of anonymity, said that Arafat informed Zinni that there would be no meetings before the complete pullout of the Israeli troops from all the Palestinian-controlled territories occupied after September 28, 2000.

The official said that the aim of the meeting with Zinni was to try to end the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people into the Palestinian towns, villages and refugee camps.
