Road Accident Kills 22 People in Central China

A road accident killed 22 people and injured 9 others on Friday afternoon in Enshi Prefecture, central China's Hubei province. Local sources say that a bus, with 33 passengers and one driver, fell off a cliff, as it was running to a town of Lichuan City.

A road accident killed 22 people and injured 9 others on Friday afternoon in Enshi Prefecture, central China's Hubei province. Local sources say that a bus, with 33 passengers and one driver, fell off a cliff, as it was running to a town of Lichuan City.

Twenty-one died immediately and one died after being sent to hospital.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, local police say. Local government officials and traffic officers have rushed to the scene for emergency rescue operations.
