Road Accident Kills 15 in North China
Fifteen people were killed and 28 others injured when a truck crashed into a bus Thursday morning in Yongnian County, in north China's Hebei Province.

Fifteen people were killed and 28 others injured when a truck crashed into a bus Thursday morning in Yongnian County, in north China's

Passengers from another bus, who saw the accident, broke the bus windows to rescue some of the stricken passengers immediately after the accident, but were soon driven back by an explosion and a serious fire, which was put out by fire-fighters and police officers who arrived minutes later, a witness said.
Thirteen people on the bus were burned to death, and two people on the truck were killed.
The bus belonged to the local Handan Vocational School for Advanced Agricultural Training, and had been carrying 41 teaching and administrative staff members.
Local officials, including a vice-governor of Hebei, rushed to the accident scene to organize rescue work.
Investigations into the cause of the accident are under way.
