DPRK Prepared to Defend Homeland: Kim Jong IL

The armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is capable of shattering any enemy invasion and safeguarding the socialist homeland, reported the official newspaper Rodong Sinmun on Tuesday.

The armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is capable of shattering any enemy invasion and safeguarding the socialist homeland, reported the official newspaper Rodong Sinmun on Tuesday.

Kim Jong Il, General Secretary of the Workers' Party and Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, made the remarks Monday while watching the military train of 319 army units.

Kim said the armed forces have also made political and military preparation to defeat any enemy.
