Arab FMs Back Palestinian Uprising Against Israeli Occupation
Arab foreign ministers on Saturday offered strong support for the Palestinian uprising against the Israeli occupation and showed solidarity with Lebanon and Syria.

Speaking to reporters after one day discussions at an Arab foreign ministers' meeting in Cairo, Lebanese Foreign Minister Mahmoud Hammoud said that the participants were preparing draft resolutions on the issues and would then submit them to the Arab summit due to held in Lebanon on March 27-28.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Marwan Moasher said that the participants agreed on a peace proposal launched by Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul-Aziz on the Mideast peace process which suggests Arab recognition of Israel in exchange for Israel's withdrawal from all Arab lands occupied in the 1967 Mideast War.
The two-day meeting of foreign ministers or delegates of Arab League member states opened in Cairo earlier in the day.
It is learnt that the latest Mideast situation, the Saudi peace proposal and ways to help stop Israel's aggression against the Palestinians will be high on the agenda of the gathering.
Kuwaiti Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah presided over the opening ceremony of the gathering.
In his opening remarks, the Kuwaiti minister called for the international protection of the Palestinians and urged Israel to withdraw from all occupied Arab lands.
Arab League chief Amr Moussa said that the Arab League will take decisions to back the Palestinian fight against the escalating Israeli attacks, expressing Arab solidarity with Lebanon and Syria in their struggle for regaining legitimate rights.
