China to Strengthen Anti-drug Cooperation with Columbia, Peru and Brazil
A Chinese anti-drug delegation, led by Public Security Minister Jia Chunwang, has lately been back from a visit to Columbia, Peru and Brazil February 19-March 3 and has had important consensus on anti-drug issues reached with his counterparts of the three host countries.

Common views reached on anti-dump issues
During his visit, Jia Chunwang explained China's current situation and the Chinese government's principles and measures on drug problem. Jia conducted fruitful talks with procurators of the three countries and had consensus reached on many anti-dump issues.
On behalf of the Chinese government, Jia signed a China-Peru protocol on anti-dump cooperation with Peruvian Foreign Minister Diego Garcia-Sayan.
Consensus reached on anti-crime cooperation
Jia had also explained the current situation of China's social security and the Chinese government's major measures for maintaining social security and further expressed the desire for conducting cooperation with police departments of the three countries. Departments concerned of the three countries reached consensus that friendly bilateral cooperation between law executive departments is an important part of friendly bilateral relations. The Chinese Ministry of Public Security also had common views reached with the three countries respectively on many issues including info-exchange, investigation assistant and delivery of offenders.
During his visit, Jia also inked a joint Statement of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security with the Brazilian Ministry of Justice. Both sides agreed that cooperation is to be strengthened between justice departments of the two countries regarding crackdown on terrorism, anti-drug, multinational crime and kidnap.
Enhancing exchanges and cooperation on drug control between China and other countries is imperative and significant, Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji said Tuesday.
