Chinese Defense Minister Meets Japanese Guests
Chinese Defense Minister Chi Haotian hopes that China and Japan, with historical experience in mind but looking to the future, will push forward their relations and military exchanges.
Chinese Defense Minister Chi Haotian hopes that China and Japan, with historical experience in mind but looking to the future, will push forward their relations and military exchanges.
He said that the two sides should conduct bilateral relations on the basis of the Sino-Japanese Joint Statement, the Sino-Japanese Treaty of Peace and Friendship and the Sino-Japanese Joint Declaration.
Chi, also vice chairman of the Central Military Commission and state councilor, made the remarks at a meeting with Yohei Sasakawa,president of Sasakawa Foundation, and his party.
Chi said that both sides should further the traditional friendship between the two peoples, and promote contacts between the youth of the two countries.
Yohei Sasakawa said that most members of the delegation are young, and they will be responsible for the future of Japan-China friendship and will increase contact between the youth of the two countries.
