One hour after the US President Bush finished his China visit, a staff member from the White House Communications Agency handed a letter of thanks to Wang Zhigang, a taxi driver from Beijing Motor Industrial Group, saying "On behalf of President Bush, I would like to thank you for your excellent work".

Together with the letter go a medal and a badge. Wang says, as told by interpreter, that the medal is a symbol of great honor in the US, being granted to the best soldiers by the White House.

Before and during Bush's visit, Wang was appointed to provide service to Mr. Jon M. Whittingham with the Communication Agency, who was sent to China in advance of the President's visit. For a two-day event the preparatory work on the Chinese side lasted for half a month. Starting from 04:00 early in the morning, Wang drove Mr. Jon M. Whittingham from airport to restaurant and the State Guesthouse, offering safe, punctual and satisfactory transportation service to the US side.

"The whole staff of White House Communications Agency extends sincere thanks to Chinese units providing service to President visit this time. You have done a good job by offering excellent service", reads the letter from White House.
