China and Kuwait agreed at the fourth meeting of the Economic and Trade Mixed Committee in Beijing Tuesday to work together to boost trade and economic cooperation.
The mixed committee was co-chaired by Shi Guangsheng, Chinese minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, and Youssef Hamad al-Ibrahim, Kuwaiti minister of finance and planning and minister of state for administrative development affairs.
Both sides exchanged views on the cooperative ways of trading, contracted projects and investment.
China-Kuwait trade has been expanding continuously, Shi said. He believes that the mixed committee will further cooperation and enhance exchanges between government departments and businesses from both countries.
The leaders of the two countries hold positive attitudes towards Kuwait-China economic and trade relations, said Youssef Hamad al-Ibrahim, hoping that economic cooperation will be promoted.
Youssef Hamad al-Ibrahim arrived in China on February 24, at the invitation of Shi.
