ASEAN Countries Show Political Will to Work Together Against Terrorism

Surakiart Sathirathai,Thai Foreign Minister said that 10 foreign ministers, who attended the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' retreat here Thursday, agreed to work together closely to fight again terrorism.

Surakiart Sathirathai,Thai Foreign Minister said that 10 foreign ministers, who attended the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' retreat here Thursday, agreed to work together closely to fight again terrorism.

"It is the first time that all of the ASEAN members show the same political will in campaign against terrorism," Surakiart noted.

All the ASEAN countries had set up the anti-terrorism centers and some of them including Philippine, Malaysia and Indonesia had implemented effective cooperation, he said, adding that Thailand would join the cooperation among the three countries.

He said that ASEAN would not only strengthen the cooperation among the members, but also connect the other countries to clear up misunderstanding and seek their supports.

ASEAN would send an information to the world that the it was a solid, influential and responsible regional organization, he concluded.
