Tung Chee Hwa Wins 709 Nominations from EC Members

Tung Chee Hwa has got 709 nominations from the Election Committee members for the 2002 ChiefExecutive Election of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region,according to the latest figure released by the Tung Chee Hwa Election Office Wednesday.

Tung Chee Hwa has got 709 nominations from the Election Committee members for the 2002 ChiefExecutive Election of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region,according to the latest figure released by the Tung Chee Hwa Election Office Wednesday.

Tung handed in the Nomination Form that bear names of 706 Election Committee members to the Electoral Affairs Commission Tuesday. Four of the 706 nominations had not yet got verified.

Tung's Election Office re-submitted the four amended nominationforms to the Electoral Affairs Commission and got the verification.
