This was revealed by Interior Minister Moin-ud-Din Haider in Lahore, capital of Punjab province on Saturday, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan.
Police had identified two more suspects in Toba Tek Singh area, who were being questioned by the authorities that would give further lead to the investigators, assisted by two members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Moin told a news conference after attending an Inter-Provincial Co-ordination meeting on Saturday evening.
Daniel Pearl was kidnapped from Karachi on January 23.
