Foreign secretaries of Bangladesh and India will hold formal talks in New Delhi on February 18 and discuss ways to resolve the long standing problems between the two countries.

Foreign Ministry sources told Xinhua Tuesday that the Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury will arrive Deli from London on February 17 after attending the official-level talks of Commonwealth there.

"All outstanding issues lying unresolved for long will come up in the discussion," said a top level source.

The foreign secretaries will also discuss the twice deferred commerce secretary level talks, Dhaka-Kolkata bus service, meeting of Joint Border Working Group, review of the Ganges Water Treaty and finalization of dates of important committee meetings.

The sources said the political-level talks were held on the unresolved issues between the two countries, but there was no official-level talks after the four-party alliance government took office in October last year.
