"We felt greatly encouraged to see that we are in the same league as best business schools worldwide," according to Dr. Bert Bennett, president of CEIBS. "This further proves that we have successfully transplanted the world class business education into China, a country in urgent need of management knowledge and talents to touch its great economic potential." He added that CEIBS could not achieve this recognition without the support from EU and the Chinese government and the support from sponsoring companies.
CEIBS also ranked 29th in the world Financial Times Executive MBA (EMBA) ranking late last year, and the 2nd in Asia.
The achievements of CEIBS have also been recognized domestically when the State Council Degree Committee, China's top authorities in degree regulation, recently issued a former approval for the MBA degree issued by CEIBS.
CEIBS' MBA is a 17-month full-time English programme, taught by professors from all over the world, and enrolling 128 local and foreign participants each year.
CEIBS, the leading China-based international business school, is a not-for-profit joint educational institution established in 1994 under an agreement between the Chinese Government and the European Union and operated by the European Foundation for Management Development (efmd) and the Shanghai Jiaotong University. Over the past 7 years, more than 2000 MBA and EMBA students have graduated from CEIBS with over 10,000 executives trained in its Executive Education courses.
