China Int'l IT Expo 2002 to Be Held in April

An international exhibition in information technology achievements, the largest of its kind ever held in China, will open in the Shanghai Exhibition Center on April 4.

An international exhibition in information technology achievements, the largest of its kind ever held in China, will open in the Shanghai Exhibition Center on April 4.

The three-day exhibition, co-sponsored by the State Information Center and Xinhua News Agency, will focus on the latest developments in exploration of information resources and information and technology services, according to Li Jiyu, deputy general manager of the Hong Kong-based New China News Ltd.

Li told a press conference in Hong Kong Tuesday that a series of forums on China's IT industry and opportunities for overseas investment will also be held during the exhibition.
