China Issues Commemorative Coins
The People's Bank of China ( PBOC) announced that it is issuing a set of colored gold and silver commemorative coins Tuesday depicting Chinese folk fairy tales.
The People's Bank of China ( PBOC) announced that it is issuing a set of colored gold and silver commemorative coins Tuesday depicting Chinese folk fairy tales.
The set of one gold coin and three silver coins is legal currency in China, a PBOC spokesman said.
The denomination of the half-ounce gold coin is 200 yuan, with 8,800 coins issued; the one-ounce silver coins is 10 yuan with 30, 000 coins issued; the five-ounce silver coin, the only rectangular- shaped coin in the set, has a denomination of 50 yuan with 10,000 issued.
