Modern Textile Manufacturer Begins Production in Shanghai
The largest and most advanced textile manufacturer in China began production on Monday at the Kangqiao Industrial Zone of Shanghai's Pudong New District.
The largest and most advanced textile manufacturer in China began production on Monday at the Kangqiao Industrial Zone of Shanghai's Pudong New District.
The factory complex, covering 15 hectares, is equipped with 400state-of-the-art machines including some imported from Germany, Switzerland and Italy, a first-grade laboratory and four up-to-date inspection centers.
It was built with funds raised by the Sanqiang (Three Gun) Group at a cost of 300 million yuan.
The factory expects to produce 55 million articles of knitwear and 18,000 tons of "Shounan" brand fabrics annually. It will bringthe group additional annual sales worth 600 million yuan.
As the most competitive manufacturer in China, the Sanqiang Group has topped China for eight successive years in overall economic results. It provides a quarter of all knitwear sold in the Chinese market.
