Two murderers who brutally killed 14 people were executed Friday in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province in north China.
On June 19, 1999, Hu Wenhai, one of the murderers, was quarreling with two fellow villagers in Dayukou Village in Wujinshan Town of Jinzhong, who wounded him with a knife.
To revenge, Hu Wenhai and Liu Haiwang, the other murderer, killed village cadre Hu Gensheng, who Hu Wenhai claimed to have masterminded the incident, and other 13 innocent people he considered his personal enemies with a hunting rifle and ax, on October 26, 2001.
The two murderers also seriously wounded two other innocent people, leaving another slightly wounded.
The 17 victims belong to 11 families.
The local court sentenced Hu Wenhai and Liu Haiwang to death, with their political rights deprived for life.
