U.S. military officials said they started interrogating prisoners of the Afghan war at Cuba's Guantanamo Bay on an individual basis Wednesday.

U.S. interrogators questioned prisoners about the terrorist training and the interrogation is reportedly aimed at determining whether the inmates who have more than 10 different nationalities should remain imprisoned at the U.S. Navy base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, or be sent back to their home countries.

A total of 158 prisoners caught in the Afghan war are currentlyheld at the U.S. outpost. More prisoners are expected to come after the interrogation, according to U.S. military officials.

With more prisoners expected to come, sailors of the U.S. Navy base are busy with building more cells. But officials said they are not willing to double up inmates for security concerns.

Meanwhile, the U.S. is under heavy pressure from human rights groups on its treatment of the prisoners held at Guantanamo. But it insists on that the prisoners are properly-treated.
