New Initiative Designed to Accelerate Travel Industry Recovery
TravelSmart-Asia, a program designed to offer travel information of 11 countries and regions in the Asia Pacific region, was launched Tuesday in Hong Kong, to help accelerate the airline and travel industry's recovery.
TravelSmart-Asia, a program designed to offer travel information of 11 countries and regions in the Asia Pacific region, was launched Tuesday in Hong Kong, to help accelerate the airline and travel industry's recovery.
Launched by ABACUS International, TravelSmart-Asia website, located at www.abacus.com.sg, has up-to-date travel safety information, travel tips and travel advisories issued by various governments for destinations around the Asia-Pacific region.
"TravelSmart-Asia is designed to help facilitate that recovery, and cement ABACUS as the number one reservation service for travel agents," said Don Birch, president and CEO of ABACUS International.
Besides, TravelSmart-Asia program also provides training for travel agents in 11 countries and regions around the region.
"Travel agents can boost their own business by using the information from TravelSmart - Asia to provide better services and develop a closer relationship with their clients," Birch said.
ABACUS owns Asia's Pacific's largest global distribution system and computerized reservation system. TravelSmart-Asia now has member travel agents in 11 countries and regions, including Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.
