HK Govt. to Launch 400 More E-Service Projects
The government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) is set to implement some 400 information technology projects in providing public services in the fiscal year 2002-03, an official said Monday.
The government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) is set to implement some 400 information technology projects in providing public services in the fiscal year 2002-03, an official said Monday.
The projects include expanding the Electronic Service Delivery (ESD) Scheme and electronic tendering and procurement, said Michael Stone, E-government Coordinator of the HKSAR Information Technology and Broadcasting Bureau, at the Legislative Council.
The government will spend nearly 10 million HK dollars (1.3 million U.S. dollars) in each of the projects, about 350 such projects are scheduled for completion within this year, Stone said.
