One day after Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf delivered his televised address to the nation on Saturday, New Delhi said on Sunday that Musharraf's declaration of banning terrorist organization in his country and his commitments of not allowing Pakistan territory to be used against India were positive.
External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh said in a prepared statement here Sunday afternoon that India wanted to see action being taken by the Pakistan government.
Singh reiterated India's commitments of resuming dialogue with Pakistan to solve all pending issues between the two countries.
However, the Indian official rejected Musharraf's description on the status of Kashmir, saying that the disputed area was part of India's territory.
