CPC Senior Official Meets Japanese Guests

Zeng Qinghong, an alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met here Friday with Toranosuke Katayama, Japan's minister of Public Management, Home Affairs, Post and Telecommunications, and his party.

Zeng Qinghong, an alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met here Friday with Toranosuke Katayama, Japan's minister of Public Management, Home Affairs, Post and Telecommunications, and his party.

Zeng, also a member of the secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese ties.

He believes that cooperation in the information industry will further relations between China and Japan.

Toranosuke Katayama said that Japanese Prime Minister JunichiroKoizumi takes this year as an opportunity to promote contact between Japan and China, and his current visit is to further the cooperation between the two countries in the information industry.



The Japanese guests are here at the invitation of the Ministry of Information Industry.
