Indonesian Ex-President Wahid Denies Receiving Money From Tommy
Indonesian former President Abdurrahman Wahid Friday denied that he has received 20 million rupiah (about 2 million U.S. dollars) from Hutomo "Tommy" Mandala Putra, the youngest son of the former President Soeharto.

Wahid Friday morning appeared at the Jakarta Police Headquarterto testify as a witness in the fraud case, allegedly involving histwo confidants Dodi Sukmadi and Abdullah Sidiq Muin.
Talking to reporters following a two-hour testimony, Wahid saidhe only get to know Sidiq Muin, and did not know Dodi who is stillat large.
He said the police will not summon him again.
Tommy, who is currently in the police custody on a number of criminal charges, had lodged a formal complaint against Sidiq Muinand Dodi for having defrauded him of 20 billion rupiah.
Tommy, 39, had paid the amount of money to the two to help him secure a pardon from then President Wahid on his 18-month prison sentence for corruption in a land swap deal with the National Logistics Agency (Bulog).
However, Wahid had rejected Tommy's request for the pardon, andrecently also denied he had ever received money from Sidiq Muin and Dodi.
