China's Aviation Industry Has Broad Investment Portfolio

Six enterprises affiliated to the company planned to sell their debts to shareholders. Four have already set up new companies.
CAIC II has also engaged in cooperation with non-state capital. At the moment, one share-holding company has been jointly established with non-governmental capital.
Zhang said the company has got approval from the central government to restructure itself and set up a competitive international joint-stock company.
CAIC II is one of the two biggest aviation corporations in China. Last year, the company scored 21.6 billion yuan in industrial output value and 16 billion yuan in product sales.
Environment-friendly civilian products to be developed
China Aviation Industry Corporation II (CAIC II) will develop more environment-friendly civilian products this year, said Zhang .
The company will carry out research on products which can meet the national environmental standards, and will promote them on the market.
This year, the company plans to produce 140,000 mini vehicles that meet new emission standards, which will account for over 50 percent of its total mini vehicle output. The two new types of "Songhuajiang" and "Changhe" have drawn attention from customers.
CAIC II also participated in the tendering for the "transport of natural gas from west to east" project and for construction work in big cities.
Zhang said CAIC II will seek more opportunities to cooperate with foreign companies in order to develop different kinds of environment-friendly products, which can be exported to international markets.

There are 54 industrial enterprises and 3 institutes which involved in helicopter aircraft, engine and airborne equipment etc. and other 22 enterprises and institutes are subordinated to the China Aviation Industry Corporation II, which also holds 50% of shares of the China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC), and the China Aviation Industry Supply and Marketing Corporation.
