Tsingtao Brewery Reports Record Revenue

Tsingtao Brewery Co. reported Wednesday in Hong Kong that it posted a record revenue of 5.3 billion Chinese yuan (640 million U.S. dollars) for the year 2001, a 39.5 percent growth from the previous year.

Tsingtao Brewery Co. reported Wednesday in Hong Kong that it posted a record revenue of 5.3 billion Chinese yuan (640 million U.S. dollars) for the year 2001, a 39.5 percent growth from the previous year.

Its 2001 beer output was also a record of 2.51 million tons, 34 percent more than the previous year.

The Chinese beer maker, which aspires to become one of the top ten breweries in the world by 2003, said it targets an annual production of 3 million tons for 2002.
