Tung Chee Hwa to Meet Election Committee Members

Tung Chee Hwa, who has announced to run for the election of the chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) for a second term, will meet with members of different subsectors of the Election Committee (EC) starting next week as planned.

Following that, open forums will be held at which all EC members will be invited to attend, according to the Tung Chee Hwa Election Office Friday.

Making the above announcement, Tung reiterated that he has always attached great importance to exchanging views with EC members and community figures. The aforementioned program has been organized for that purpose.

Tung stressed, " I will meet with all EC members as planned at the same time as I discharge my duty as the chief executive. I will also exchange views with the public directly through different channels and through the media."
