The statement of the Japanese Foreign Minister Makiko Tanaka concerning the Taiwan issue demonstrates that China's stance on the issue has won approval and support from all over the world.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue made the remarks Thursday at a regular press conference when asked to comment on Tanaka's recent statement of her support for China's peaceful reunification.

Next year will mark the 30th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese relations, Zhang said, adding that China also hopes that their bilateral ties will overcome various disturbances to grow healthily.
