Egyptian, Chinese FMs Discuss Bilateral Ties, Mideast Situation
Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher held talks Wednesday with his Chinese counterpart Tang Jiaxuan on bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Middle East.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher held talks Wednesday with his Chinese counterpart Tang Jiaxuan on bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Middle East.
The two sides also discussed arrangements for President Hosni Mubarak's visit to China next month, Tang told a joint news conference held with Maher after the talks.
"We have discussed many issues, among them the most important is about President Mubarak's sixth visit to China next month," Tang said, adding that he has listened to Maher on the preparations for the visit.
He said that China is a reliable friend of the Arab nation and reaffirmed China's support for the Palestinian struggles for regaining legitimate rights.
Tang arrived here Tuesday evening on a visit to Egypt, the fourth stop of his regional tour which has taken him to Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.
