Central China's Hunan Province reported a rapid foreign trade increase during the first 11 months this year.
According to latest statistics, during the period the province' s total export and import volume reached 2.5 billion U.S. dollars, up 11.6 percent over the same period last year.
While experiencing a decline in exports to the Middle East and Southeast Asia, the province has witnessed a sharp growth in its exports to Latin America, Russia and East Europe. And its exports to Russia and East Europe topped 62 million U.S. dollars in the period, surging 51.7 percent year on year.
The province has seen a fast growth in the exports of machinery and electronic products, and manganese products, and falls in the exports of fireworks, clothing, live pigs, and pottery and porcelain products.
Its total imports during the period stood at about 895 million U.S. dollars, with Japan and the Republic of Korea as its major exporters.
