At a grand banquet marking the 2nd anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland, Ho vowed to adhere to the Basic Law as always and perform his own duty to make Macao more strong and prosperous.
Macao people have laid the basis for success in the future by uniting together, striving hard and pushing forward social progress, the chief executive said, adding that pragmatic attitudeand high morale are an advantage of Macao people.
Macao's development cannot be separated from strong support from the central government, and links between Macao and China's inland have been increasing over the past two years, Ho said.
The SAR government has accumulated precious work experience, which will be helpful to overcome current difficulties, he said.
