Zhang Wenkang, Chinese minister of health, said Tuesday at a meeting on foreign affairs in the medical field in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality that traditional Chinese medicine is entering world at an increased rate.
The number of clinics practicing traditional Chinese medicine in France, Britain, Canada and Australia has reached 13,800. More than 12,000 acupuncture doctors have registered in the United States. The export of traditional Chinese patent medicine exceed 10,000 tons every year.
In addition, China has sent 1,091 medical aid personnel to 38 developing countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and America. The Chinese doctors have given treatment to more than 200 million people, and trained over 3,000 local doctors, Zhang said.
