Zhang Wannian, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission met Monday with K.Tynaliev,Chief of General Staff of the armed forces of Kyrgyzstan.

Zhang said the China-Kyrgyzstan relations have seen great progress within the framework of the Shanghai Five and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in recent years.

As a major part of the bilateral ties, the two-way military ties have also been advanced greatly. Further development of the friendly cooperative relations between the two countries and two armed forces is the common wish of the peoples of the two countries, serving not only the fundamental interests of the two peoples, but also the regional and world peace and stability.

Tynaliev, who is also the first Deputy Defense Minister, said Kyrgyzstan would like to work together with China to further strengthen the communication and cooperation between the two armies, and contribute to the regional peace and stability within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
