Three Iraqis suspected of working for Osmar bin Laden's al Qaeda network have been arrested in a police swoop in Tirana, television reports said Sunday.

The three Iraqis, members of the Global Relief Fund, were arrested on Saturday.

Documents found from the suspects show that they have direct links with al Qaeda and that some members of the Global Relief Fund have plans to conduct terrorist activities in the United States and Europe, Albanian Intelligence officials were quoted as saying.

The Global Relief Fund, suspected to be part of bin Laden's terrorist network, is disguised as a humanitarian group with headquarters in the United States and branches in France, Pakistan and Belgium.
