Korea-China IT Industry Forum Held in Beijing
The Korea-China IT Industry Forum, organized by the Korea IT Industry Promotion Agency (KIIPA) and the China Center of Information Industry Development (CCIID), was held Friday in Beijing.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the forum, Kim Dong-shun, vice minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Korea (ROK), said the information industry of China remains robust, and China and ROK have signed a cooperation agreement on information industry development which has laid a solid foundation for furthering bilateral cooperation in this field.
During the one-day forum, scholars and IT players from China and ROK exchanged views on a wide ranges of topics, such as training of IT technical knowledge, risk investment, technology trade, CDMA, and 3G and 4G mobile telecommunications technology.
China and ROK have comprehensive exchanges and cooperation in the information industry since the mid-1990s. Currently, hundreds of ROK IT businesses have offices in China or even invested in China.
During the forum, KIIPA and CCIID signed a strategic cooperation agreement and the Electronic Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) of ROK announced it would set up an office in Beijing.
