China Shocked by Gunfire at Indian Parliament Building: FM Spokeswoman

China was shocked by the reports of terrorist gunfire at India's Parliament building, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said Friday in response to a question from the media.

China was shocked by the reports of terrorist gunfire at India's Parliament building, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said Friday in response to a question from the media.

Zhang said the Chinese government opposes and condemns any form of terrorist activities.

"We express sympathy and condolence over casualties and to their family members," she said.

Gunfire and an explosion erupted at India's Parliament building on Thursday as unidentified men tried to enter a gate used by parliamentarians and staff.
