China's Contractual Overseas Fund Sees 25% Growth in 11 Months

China's contractual overseas investment registered a year-on-year growth of 24.38 percent at 60.406 billion US dollars during the January-November period this year, according to statistics released by Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Thursday.

China's contractual overseas investment registered a year-on-year growth of 24.38 percent at 60.406 billion US dollars during the January-November period this year, according to statistics released by Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Thursday.

During the first 11 months, the overseas investment already putin use totaled 41.897 billion US dollars, a rise of 15.61 percent over the same period of last year.

Some 22,915 overseas-funded enterprises have been approved to set up in the period, scoring an increase of 16.32 percent.

By the end of November 2001, China had approved a total of 387,260 overseas-funded enterprises. The contractual investment totaled 737.125 billion US dollars, of which 390.520 billion US dollars has already been put to use.
