US Commandos Likely to Launch Ground Assault on Tora Bora: AIP

At least three US helicopters with special forces on board have been seen landing on Agaam area near Tora Bora, lair of Saudi-born Osama bin Laden and his supporters, the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) reported Thursday.

At least three US helicopters with special forces on board have been seen landing on Agaam area near Tora Bora, lair of Saudi-born Osama bin Laden and his supporters, the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) reported Thursday.

"It seems US special forces are going to launch ground attacks on Al-Qaeda fighters", the AIP quoted a witness as saying.

Sources in eastern city of Jalalabad said traffics of US helicopter at Jalalabad airport were very busy, and several helicopters were seen overnight leaving for Tora Bora area.
