Israel, Palestinians to Continue Security Meeting: Radio
Israeli and Palestinian security officials are planning to hold another meeting on Wednesday to discuss the security cooperation towards a cease-fire between the two sides, Israel Radio reported.

The meeting, scheduled to be presided by U.S. Mideast envoy Anthony Zinni, is the fourth in one week and will be followed by another security meeting on Thursday, said the report.
Hours ahead of a security meeting Tuesday night, Zinni proposed a 48-hour period of calm, in which the Palestinian National Authority continues to make arrests of the radical activists while Israel halts all military operations against the Palestinian targets in the Palestinian controlled territories.
Both sides have not made any comments over Zinni's proposal, which is schemed on the basis of an unofficial agreement reached Sunday by Israeli and Palestinian top security officials.
Palestinian security chiefs Jibril Rajoub and Mohammed Dahlan met Israel's General Security Service (Shin Bet) chief Avi Dichter Sunday night, shortly after the U.S. envoy threatened to end the mediation and return to the United States if the two sides failed to make constructive process towards the cease-fire within 48 hours.
The two Palestinian officials asked the Israeli side to provide information on possible "terror attacks" and demanded that Israel stop its military strikes in the occupied Palestinian territories. Dichter reportedly promised that Israel will stop its military
