Former Shenzhen Vice-Mayor Arrested for Corruption |
Wang Ju, a former vice-mayor of this prosperous special economic zone in south China, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China, and will face judicial judgment for abuse of power and taking bribes, according to an official press conference held Wednesday in Shenzhen.
Qiu Defeng, 29, of Yutang Village, Chengmai County, set the house of his uncle Qiu Junxian, 68, on fire after murdering him.
Qiu told the police that he had planned to commit suicide, so that, together with his uncle, he could attain Nirvana, the sole aim of practicing Falungong.
